REFLECTION ON OUR PROJECT

We all worked together nicely to make our point clear. We learned that it is important to know your rights as a digital citizen. Remixing is key to every piece of media. Remixing is a way to celebrate one item and creating your own based on that item. 

TWITTER

Twitter is exceptionally better then the other social media sites. I feel that it is set-up better and there are easier ways to communicate then facebook. People can actually view what they want to view and start conversations on topics that interest them. You can design your twitter to what you want and what expresses your personality.

A Silicon Valley School That Doesn’t Compute

The Silicon Valley School should use technology in their curriculum. Technology helps students complete their school work faster in a more convenient way. Our school uses iPads and it helps us access knowledge  easier. The Silicon Valley School seems rebellious to modern day technology, which is fine, but they might enjoy some technology that will make their school work simple.

I think that people think they are invincible when using social media. They feel that they are not going to get caught or in trouble for their poor actions. People are unaware of what the outcome of their actions can become. 

INDEPENDENT PROJECT

The independent project is very impressive and unique. The students that teach themselves is a great idea. Their learning become relevant to their life and its makes them learn what that want to learn.

The back channel seemed distracting from watching the video. People that usually do it seem like they are not focusing on what they are watching. It, however helps people with multi-tasking.  

IPAD'S AROUND THE COUNTRY

BHS isnt the only school giving ipads to their students. A community in Michigan have also let their students borrow the Apple device. Ipads are a definite educational tool and is convenient for the students 

College's Tracking Social Web 'Chatter'

Colleges tracking the students social web chatter can be invasive. Students, especially college, should be able to use social media accounts without being monitored by teachers. Students at this age should hopefully be mature enough to know their boundaries with posted inappropriate material on their facebook or twitter profiles.
